Are you passionate about helping orphaned and abandoned children? Join Volunteer Service in Nepal (VSN) as a Children’s Home Volunteer and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As a volunteer, you will provide love, care, and support to children living in our homes, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Your role may include organizing educational activities, assisting with daily living tasks, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive.  

VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS

Volunteers must show eagerness, the ability to maintain motivation and reliability. Related to this, volunteers need to show creativity and initiative when planning and taking part. Most importantly, volunteers need to have confidence in their work, time and management skills to ensure an effective support.

VOLUNTEER’S TASKS

• Teaching about health and sanitation
• Recreational activities and Games
• Helping in their studies
• Make sure they eat properly, including serving them or being with them to encourage to eat and make them feel cared and loved
• Prepare them for schools – including ensuring their uniforms are clean and proper
• Check to see if the children are clean and net at all times
• Washing children’s clothes
• Teach children drawing, songs and any musical instruments
• Knitting and weaving torn clothes of kids
